Nielufar Varjavand, MD - CPE Board Member

Nielufar Varjavand is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. 

She cares for patients at Drexel’s Center for Women’s Health providing general internal medicine in downtown Philadelphia.

She has focused her career on graduate medical education of students, residents, and physicians returning to clinical medicine.  As such, she is the Program Director of Drexel’s Physician Refresher/Reentry Course (since 2006), Director of Global Health Education which includes Medical Spanish elective (since 2014), and co-director of Case Based Learning for first year medical students. 

Her research interests include physician reentry, partner violence, and medical errors/quality of care, on which she has had multiple publications and presentations at national and regional medical conferences.
