Marcia Lammando, RN, BSN, MHSA, CPE President
Ms. Lammando, RN, BSN, MHSA developed the initial concept of LifeGuard® a clinical skills assessment and remediation program in 2008 at the direction of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. She has served, since February 2011, as the Program Director.
Ms. Lammando came to LifeGuard with an extensive background in hospital administration and ambulatory care specifically in the areas of compliance and regulatory expertise. Additionally, Ms. Lammando has significant experience in physician and adult education and learning modalities along with programmatic concept development and a strong clinical background. She developed, along with experts in the field of geriatrics and physician assessment, the model approach to the Late Career Physician Assessment Program at LifeGuard.
As Program Director of LifeGuard®, Ms. Lammando’s responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program and providing direction for infrastructure development and program enhancements. She also is accountable for the vetting of newly developed assessment tools, program methodologies, and partnership management and has been instrumental in the recognition of LifeGuard by numerous state boards and health systems as a major clinical assessment program across the United States. Most recently, Ms. Lammando developed the practice monitoring program at LifeGuard, focusing primarily on the monitoring of physician’s opioid prescribing practices and adherence to state and federal guidelines.
Ms. Lammando holds a BSN from The Pennsylvania State University and an MHSA from the University of St. Francis. She is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business Executive Management Program. She holds an appointment as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Primary Care Medicine, Texas A&M University, College of Medicine.
